Orla was first spotted selling her ketchup paintings on St. Stephen's Green in Dublin by the corporate lawyer from Heinz Ireland. At first she was told to remove the paintings from the railings and that she was infringing copyright. The lawyer, Richelle, took her details and got in touch a few days later. Heinz had loved the paintings and bought the first 6 paintings for their Headquarters in Pittsburgh USA where they still hang proudly today.
Her iconic painted images of HP sauce, Ketchup, Heinz Beanz, Lea and Perrins have been used for merchandise in stores all over the UK and Europe such as John Lewis Sainsburys, Tescos, Argos, ASDA to name a few. She introduced the very Irish Tayto Crisps to her portfolio of beautifully executed classic images along with pints of the black stuff, Irish phone boxes, post boxes and jacobs biscuits. The results have put Orlas work on the ‘must have’ list for many discerning collectors. Widely acclaimed for her quirky style and creative execution, her original work is owned by a wide range of celebrities from rock, pop and movie stars to international sports stars around the globe.
